It is a member chronicle of One World by Night.<br /><br />This is a Camarilla genre game, with some Anarch and Kuei-Jin presence allowed. The game focuses primarily on political plots given the setting in the state capitol, with some occasional other mysterious things around.<br /><br />We meet the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">at the Sacramento State University Library located at 2000 State University Dr, Sacramento, CA 95819.</span> Storytellers are on site starting at 8 PM for game starting at 08:30 PM and running until at least 12:30 AM, though it may go a bit longer depending on what's going on.<br /><br />Sacramento by Night uses Haller Games LARP Administration for chronicle management. If you would like access as a player, please use the Ask ST For Access To This Game feature to the right.<br /><br />Venue Style Sheet (sort of)<br /><br />OWbN doesn't use these but they're a good idea. They serve to communicate openly what type of game the STs are trying to run. This helps players be on the same page and know what to expect. A game that attempts to appeal to literally everyone will have difficulty giving anything in particular enough attention. As they say, if you chase two rabbits you will catch neither. This isn't to say we necessarily disagree with other styles but that we have chosen to focus in a specific direction.<br /><br />The first part is a general game emphasis. Using 10 points we distribute broadly through three categories to show how much focus we generally pay each area:<br /><br />Physical: 2, Social: 5, Mental: 3<br /><br />The next section is more specific. Each type of general activity is presented on a 10 point scale determined by how frequently players will encounter that type of activity where 10 is every game and 0 is never.<br /><br />Action (combat and challenges): 3<br />Character Development (personal dilemmas and choices): 4<br />Darkness (corruption, fear and horror): 4<br />Drama (ceremony and grand story): 3<br />Intrigue (politics and negotiation): 8<br />Manners (social etiquette and peer pressure): 8<br />Mystery (enigmas and investigation): 5<br />PC Death (how often it is present): 2<br />Pacing (how quickly do stories start, develop and come to an end): 5<br /><br />Finally the mood and theme. These are general statements regarding the type of ambiance we are trying for. The stories we tell are meant to play with these elements most often.
